The Student Rocket Program is Dhumketu Exploration Technologies Ltd. (DhumketuX)’s flagship campus–industry collaboration initiative. It connects university students, faculty members and industry engineers around real, subsystem-level rocketry projects under clear MoU, NDA, IP and safety frameworks.
Goal: Turn classrooms and labs into active contributors to modern rocketry and space technology—through safe, structured, non-weaponized educational projects.

What Is the Student Rocket Program?
The Student Rocket Program – Campus–Industry Collaboration is a long-term initiative where Dhumketu Exploration Technologies Ltd. (DhumketuX):
- Signs formal MoUs with universities and departments
- Works with professors as academic supervisors
- Assigns real, non-weaponized rocket subsystems to capable student teams
- Provides technical guidance, design reviews and industry exposure
- Operates under clear NDA, IP ownership, safety and chemical-handling policies
Unlike one-off workshops, this program builds deep, multi-year collaboration between campuses and industry.
How Campus–Industry Collaboration Works
Step 1
MoU with University / Department
DhumketuX and the university sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Roles, safety rules, NDA requirements and IP ownership in favour of DhumketuX are defined clearly.
Step 2
Professor-Led Subsystem Team
A faculty member supervises a student team. Each campus receives one or more subsystem responsibilities (structures, avionics, ground systems, recovery or simulation).
Step 3
Design, Reviews & Integration
Teams move through design, simulation, prototyping and testing with regular DhumketuX reviews. Over time, each university becomes a specialist node in the national student rocket ecosystem.
NDA, IP, Safety & Chemical Policy
🔒 NDA – Non-Disclosure Agreement
All participating universities, faculty supervisors and core student team members must sign an NDA with DhumketuX before accessing detailed designs, code or internal data. Public talks and posts that mention project details must follow DhumketuX communication guidelines.
💡 Intellectual Property (IP)
All designs, CAD, schematics, code, documentation, testing methods and data created under this program are project foreground IP and, unless otherwise agreed in a separate contract, all such IP will always belong to Dhumketu Exploration Technologies Ltd. (DhumketuX).
Universities and students receive academic credit and may use materials for non-commercial purposes (theses, internal presentations) under NDA and MoU terms. Any commercialisation or licensing is led by DhumketuX as IP owner.
🧪 Safety & Chemical Policy
DhumketuX does not sell, supply, donate or transfer any aerospace chemicals, propellants, explosives or energetic materials to any university, institution, team or individual under this program. All such materials and tests are handled only by DhumketuX or licensed partners in controlled environments.
Student teams focus on non-energetic subsystems (structures, avionics, ground systems, simulations, data, software). All work is strictly educational, non-weaponized and safety-first.
Community Gateway: Rocketry Bangladesh & BAXRC
The Student Rocket Program is closely linked to the wider ecosystem via Rocketry Bangladesh (a wing of BAXRC) and the DhumketuX community. Students can first learn, share and practice within the community layer before taking on formal subsystem roles.
Students and teams who want to go deeper into rocketry are encouraged to first join Rocketry Bangladesh for orientation, learning and community projects under BAXRC’s non-profit, non-weaponized framework.

Who Can Join the Student Rocket Program?
🎓 Universities & Departments
Engineering departments (EEE, ME, AE, CSE, CE, IE, Robotics, etc.) willing to sign an MoU, allocate faculty supervisors, labs and a committed team. Universities must agree to NDA, IP, safety and chemical policies.
👨🏫 Professors & Supervisors
Faculty members motivated to guide rocketry and aerospace work, comfortable with documentation and safety culture, and committed to enforcing NDA, IP and ethics guidelines.
🚀 Student Teams
Serious, capable teams (usually 5–15 students) with strong fundamentals (mechanics, electronics, programming, etc.), ready to finish what they start and to work under timelines, documentation standards, NDA and safety rules.
Any team can join if capable, the university signs an MoU, and NDA + IP + safety conditions are accepted.

How to Start a Collaboration
For Universities & Professors

- Step 2 – Scoping Call: jointly decide which subsystem(s) match your strengths, team size and timeline.
- Step 3 – MoU + NDA + IP Terms: sign a formal MoU defining responsibilities, NDA, IP ownership by DhumketuX, and safety framework.
- Step 4 – Kick-Off: run orientation sessions, share guidelines and begin subsystem work with regular DhumketuX reviews.
For Student Teams
- Step 1: show this page to your professor/HoD and discuss interest.
- Step 2: form a core team (5–15 members) with clear roles (lead, CAD, electronics, software, documentation, etc.).
