Nahiyan Rahman is the leading figure when it comes to indigenous Aerospace technology in Bangladesh. Orginally from Mymensingh, Rahman has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mymensingh Engineering College) and a Masters in Space Systems (BSMRAAU). He has been named the “Elon Musk” of Bangladesh not only by his peers, but the nation itself. This comparison does not come without merit as he has shown true courage and resiliance to develop and foster Aerospace technology in Bangladesh no matter the blockades that have come in his way. Rahman has created research and business streams in rocket technology, uncrewed systems and more. He has been awarded notable awards and grants in his field over the years of his research. His determination to make Bangladesh a key player in the Aerospace industry has been encourage by the original “Rocket Boy” Homer Hickman. Rahman’s Laboratory, “Alpha Science Lab” has also been visited by significant foreign dignitaries to showcase indigenous Bangladeshi capability.
