DhumketuX

ZERO Series ROCKET PROTOTYPE

These prototypes reassemble the improvements and opportunities from the Dhumketu zero series. This is the beginning of an era of our very own aerospace technology in Bangladesh. After solid and hybrid fuel-based rockets, we will shift to something more efficient and eco-friendly technology to save energy and reuse the materials and parts of the system. We will be able to develop a self-sufficient aerospace industry by developing our own satellite technology and communication system, as well as gathering raw data from space.

Project ARLS (Firefly) [Open Source: MIT License]

The Autonomous Rocket Landing System (ARLS) project represents a groundbreaking initiative in the field of space exploration and rocket technology. As humanity continues to push the boundaries of space exploration, the need for more advanced and efficient methods of rocket recovery becomes increasingly vital. ARLS aims to address this challenge by developing a state-of-the-art system that enables autonomous landings of rockets, revolutionizing the way we approach space missions.

Space agencies and private aerospace companies are actively seeking innovative solutions to enhance the reusability of launch vehicles. Traditional methods involve parachutes or controlled descent into bodies of water, requiring extensive post-mission refurbishments. ARLS seeks to overcome these limitations by introducing a cutting-edge autonomous landing system that enhances safety, reduces costs, and facilitates a more sustainable approach to space exploration.

Human Flight To Space

Human Capsule

The Capsule

The first capsule we build will be a boilerplate model of the pressure hull made from steel. The challenges for creating a crewed capsule are significant: the capsule must be capable of surviving atmospheric stress on entry and ascent. It must hold pressure and support a homegrown life support system. Moreover, the capsule must be capable of returning safely to earth under its own parachutes at a peak velocity of almost Mach 3.

Humna Flight To Space

The Goal

The ultimate goal of DhumketuX is to launch a human on a suborbital ride to space. For this purpose, we are developing the firefly rocket. Designing a manned, suborbital space flight system is not an easy task. Currently, there are only two manned suborbital spaceflight flight systems operational; Blue Origin’s New Shepherd and Virgin Galactic’s Spaceship Two. Both systems are bankrolled by multi-million dollar companies, employing leading aerospace professionals. Our mission is, in every sense, without precedent.

No crewed spacecraft has ever been developed by a student team.

No crewed spacecraft has ever been developed and flown from Bangladesh.

No crewed spacecraft has ever launched from an aquatic launchpad.
